Venues have been advised by the Commission that they are able to purchase, obtain and possess gaming machine equipment in anticipation of the commencement of the new venue licensing model, taking effect on 1 July 2023.

Applications for Venue Licences will be separately determined by the Commission. This authority does not guarantee that the Commission will grant the LPG licence holder a Venue Licence.​
